Janne Ahonen wins tournament for record fifth time 7.1.2008

Janne Ahonen became the first ski jumper to win the prestigious Four Hills tournament for a fifth time Sunday.

The Finn won the final event under very difficult circumstances with jumps of 126 and 136 meters, earning him 251.6 points in the World Cup event.

Thomas Morgenstern, finished third with 242.7 points.

Gregor Schlierenzauer failed to qualify for the second round after a poor first jump.

Ahonen has won the Four Hills tournament in 1999, 2003, 2005. 2006 he shared the victory with Jakub Janda.
